October Happenings

She is getting really good at throwing on the fake tears. :)

YES! Gavin and I really got the opportunity to go to the World Series! It was so exciting, even though it was Game 5. We got to see Cliff Lee pitch. I can't wait to see what the Rangers do next year. 

Bye, Bye, Pacifier!

Well, she did it. KK is off the pacifier! For the last few weeks she has been chewing holes in them, so I knew the time was getting close to throw them away but she was so attached to it. About a week ago, Gavin was putting her to bed and he couldn't find a pacifier. (She was only taking them when she went to sleep.) So I said, I guess we will see what she does without it...and strangely enough, she’s been fine without it – excellent, really! Her speech and talking has even improved now it’s out of her mouth too. Next big move...converting her crib to a toddler bed. 

 

Where Have We Been?

So I have been missing in action from the blogging world. So here is my attempt to catch you up about what has been going on in our lives. 

KK attended her 2nd summer at Aquakids for swimming lessons. Yes, she is a little fish! She has really enjoyed our swimming pool this summer. 

We did a summer camp at the Little Gym this summer as well. Every Thursday we went to gym class. 

She loved it so much she is doing Fall classes every Wednesday now. 

We went to the beach this summer and she loved playing in the sand. (Little Miss Hollywood)

She has become quite the terror when it comes to eating in public. We have resorted to anything that keeps her satisfied and put in her chair. Here she is playing with butter and a spoon! I definitely think we deserve parents of the year! (:

Time Out...Well this is how well she likes it! She gets to stand in there for 2 minutes everytime she throws one of her fits. Yes...she throws fits and it is not pretty! Perfect infant....terror toddler! 

It's hard to believe that I have been out of high school ten years now. We had our class reunion this summer. I still hang out with many, many friends that I graduated with. It was great seeing old friends.

The hubby and his better half (okay maybe not better but the other) (: 

August 2, Gavin and I celebrated 8 years of marriage with a weekend at the Gaylord. It was a much needed weekend getaway.

Fireworks at Lake Bridgeport

We spent the 4th of July weekend with family at Lake Bridgeport. KK's cousin Kylie was there too. KK is at the age where she loves interaction with other kiddos. Kylie and her enjoyed playing football, coloring and watching cartoons at Me-Me's. Me-Me enjoyed spending the weekend watching her two great grandkids play and interact. What a blessing for her!

Hopefully Kylie & KK can grow up and be as close as Michelle and I are. This weekend was proof that they really have fun when playing with each other!
